Title: Hello from Buckinghamshire!
Post by: Ladyofthethread on December 14, 2021, 09:17:54 pm
Long time lurker, first time poster.

My partner and I have always dreamed of owning a small holding but taking care of my parents I was never able to afford anything locally. Well today I signed on 2 acres of agricultural land 10 minutes away from my parents. Many tears here.

The dream is to one day have a tiny home on the property with 6 sheep (to produce my own wool and make crocheted and felted items), chickens and our own organic veg boxes. I appreciate this may never happen as planning permission can be ruthless. But wondered if anyone had any advice?

At the end of the day we have a plot to let our two girls grow and learn and I'm so pleased to be able to finally post, so thank you for my time lurking and reading all your informative posts.

Sorry for the delay in welcoming you as a posting member of the forum, [member=214255]Ladyofthethread[/member] !  Only just spotted your intro post, for some reason.

Sorry to hear about your parents :'(, but congratulations on achieving your goal of having a piece of land .

My only advice regarding looking towards planning permission is

And enjoy your ground!

Hello and welcome [member=214255]Ladyofthethread[/member] .  I love your name.  We have knitting and spinning icons but no crochet or felting, unless these would do:  :yippee: :notworthy:  to mimic the process of felting and of course these:  :hughen: :hugsheep:

I love your aims - nice and simple and I hope your dreams come true

Hello and welcome  Love what you have planned and wish you all the best.
I love the tiny house idea but having lived in a caravan for eight months while we wererenovating our house, I don't think I could do the reality.
