Title: Hello from Warwickshire
Post by: Warwick lad on December 07, 2021, 06:55:27 am
Hi everyone....BJ signing in looking for answers to questions that my wife & I will no doubt come up with as from last Tue we took 9 POL chooks into our life.  :innocent:

We live on a small farm where the owner had chickens until about 7 or 8 years back when Mr fox got in and killed the entire coop in one night.

The old coop is still usable, it comes with a large run 40 mts x 5 mts surrounded by a 6' netting fence, that needs a couple of posts re-newing. For the time being,  I've erected a smaller run inside the large one covered with a polypropylene tarp covering as per Defra on this bird flu.  :fc:  I've also installed an electric fence we're doing our best to keep foxy out at all cost...no fox is getting our girls if I have my way. ;)

That's all for now....I'm off to look at plans for building a new coop.

Cheers BJ.

Sorry we have been so long greeting you, [member=214233]Warwick lad[/member].  For some reason this post had not appeared on my "unread posts" feed and I have only just spotted it.

Congratulations on getting back into choox  :chook:.  How are the new girls settling in?

Hi and welcome WL, again, apologies for late welcome, our phone line was down 4 weeks due to Arwen, seems I've missed a lot of messages.
Hope you can keep the red villain out, and good luck with your chucks, are they a particular breed?
