Title: Aberdeenshire newbies
Post by: skeeterm5 on November 29, 2021, 08:50:14 pm
Hello everybody

My wife and I have recently moved to lovely rural Aberdeenshire, buying a traditional 1.5 storey stone farm house, a lot of barns and 5 acres.

We are not entirely sure what our plans are but we loving the space and location. Now on the hunt for a tractor which I have convinced SWMBO is needed 😀

Hello and welcome from a bit south of you.  You can definitely justify a small tractor for 5 acres, plus some implements, depending on what you plan to do with the land.

hello

yes - go shop for a tractor

I would suggest something old skool - no cabs and cheap steel to rust - just a block - engine gearbox axle and wheels - they are gettin pricey cos exported - but well worth looking for a classic - and you can go on tractor runs too on it for a great day out
