Looking for land, farm, grazing to rent near Hawick in the new year.
For goats, sheep, ponies and kune kune pigs.
I will be moving for work (as a vet) January/February time.
Currently renting a 13 acre field with field shelter plus an acre of woodland.
The dream would be a small farm with cottage/farmhouse and land attached, with outbuildings would be amazing.
I am open to smaller patches of grazing fields, woodland, rough ground that may be suitable for different groups of stock.
Open to somewhere that needs a bit of work, or fencing, as long as there is some stock proof area (barn or paddock) to accommodate animals initially while doing the work.
If housing associated, would have to allow my 3 dogs and 3 cats.
Thank you for looking

You may want to contact the Harbro in Hawick - they may have a notice/adverts board in the shop, also there is the mart in St Boswells and there is the Tarff Valley shop at the mart. You could also put a "wanted" advert into the Southern Reporter?
Shankendfarming (her TAS alias, I always forget her name...) stays near Hawick and may know of anything. You could always pm here?

Good luck with finding something suitable.

I've asked farmer friends of mine who lives just outside Hawick if they know of anything

I believe you have been looking on the Hawick Facebook page - my friend said this "if the Vet doesn't get any joy they might try the Buccleuch Estates Office and Roxburgh Estates Office"
