Hi, I thought it time to introduce myself having lurked but not posted on here for a year. We’re now living in North Devon, near Barnstaple and have resumed smallholding after a 15 year pause when work got in the way! Having now retired after 40 years telling farmers what to do as an agronomist I’m now putting it into practice! We’re starting gently, we have 20 Shetland sheep (8 ewes,2 ram lambs and 10 wethers as lawnmowers/food), a few chickens, ducks and a couple of rhea, we brought horses with us. We intend to restore the woodland pig pen to its former glory eventually but as I’m sure you’re all only too aware time just seems to fly by when you’re farming!
