Hi.
I hope this is ok to post, please let me know if it is not.
This is a really tough post, to be honest with you, but we are in rather a dire situation. We have rented our farm for 15 years, which has enabled us to be where we are today with the buffalo dairy. Unfortunately, our landlady has decided to evict us in order to sell the farm we are now currently on. We have up until March next year to be off. We were promised a situation somewhere in England, share farm scheme, etc, however, this was swept away from us by the said people and now we have been left high and dry with nothing and nowhere to go. We are looking for anywhere really between 70-150 acres of good land, ex dairy farm would be nice although not necessary, there need to be good enough buildings on it, ideally a mix of traditional and modern, or modern. Does anybody know of anywhere/anyone looking to rent/sell?
Thanks so much

If you are willing to go anywhere in the UK, could you maybe contact Stevie in Fife who also has buffalo? He just might know of somewhere with all his contacts. You'd need to google him if you don't know him though

thanks, lass. I have heard of him yeah. That could be a possibility indeed. I will look into it :)

What's your budget and what sort of acreage are you after? Are there any other specifications in relation to ground type/number of bedrooms/barns etc? It may help us find something for you if we know what you're looking for.

Depends on your budget, there are a couple on the market in Aberdeenshire, but they're not cheap! Have a look at Aberdeen & Northern Marts website:
https://www.anestates.co.uk/property-search.cfm
This isn't a bad area to be located, there's an abattoir in Inverurie that does cattle and it used to be an area that produced a lot of milk 20 odd years ago before they all sold out.
"Mackies" dairy is still based in the area if you want to Google that.
You could also try contacting some of the "Estates" in the area to see if they'd rent - many rent houses, not so sure about land rental though.
Scotland is officially TB Free - so you'll probably need to test everything and cull as necessary before moving stock, but it does mean you don't have the annual test to contend with. We aren't allowed to sell unpasteurised milk though - just in case that's part of your plan.
I am very tempted by scotland tbh. Nah we don't sell unpasturised, everything is pasturised
If there's anything you're interested in and need help with in relation to local knowledge etc don't be afraid to drop a message through and I'll do my best to help.

ideally under a million. Would preferably rent instead of buy tbh. Acerage, anything between 60 and 150. The buildings need to be decent for housing animals and such :)

You need to look at the properties that are POA then. Those are the ones no-one else can afford! :roflanim:
