was watching a zoo programme and the keeper who had taken over was changing the diets of some of the monkeys,
he was taking out as decreasing the intake of sugar which was coming in the form of bananas and grapes.
milly and molly love bananas ( they dont get alot ).
can to many be bad for goats.

they should be fine, like anything, just dont overdo it.
Ours love bananas too :)

I think it would be unlikely you could overfeed banana's. Our goats love them, and we have never overfed them on banana's despite the fact we had a fruit and veg business, and sometimes fed entire boxes of banana's to the goats. ↲ BETH

My GG's prefer the banana peel to the actual thing, btw. But they only get them every so often, as I don't collect from the veg shop just now (no pigs). Is quite interesting what they like and what they leave - some of mine love peppers (mainly the kids) and the older ones turn their noses up. Everyone loves tomatoes, carrots and cabbage, sometimes the apples are not the right variety though! They loved the raw quinces though - good as I got given a bucket full!

Mine get the banana skins from the children's breakfast every morning, they love it! they are a bit funny about apple too ::) custard creams when they had their ears pierced went down well. noticed they didtn' attack the pear tree despite it being in their paddock though :)

They can be odd about fruit- some goats like banana's better than others. None of ours like citrus fruit, orange's, melon etc. And none of ours (mine, my mum's or Alex's) like pear's. But my sister's white goats from her own line (only the goats that she has bred) absolutely love pear's, the riper the better.
