can the both run together on the same ground?
if there could be any problems what would they be e.g. worms , grass etc ?
any comments appreciated ;)

I have a feeling horses and goats tend to have different worms, that the other species cannot get- but I could be wrong on that. Lots of people keep goats with horses- introduce them carefully though as if the horses get annoyed they can easily bite at an ear! I am not joking- we had a horse in the field next door to us who used to bite at ears- he didn't get any of our kids, but he got a lamb one day and you could see three tooth marks neatly bitten out of his ear.

I have got 6 large horses - showjumpers - and all the goats run out with them during the day. The horses do not appear to be the least concerned. One of the horses is actually stabled next to the pen of milkers and he spends hours with his head over the side communing with the girls.
It seems to me taling to other folks, that horses and goats are often kept together.

THere are 2 rescue ponies grazed in the field next to our goat paddock, Savannah and Reggie my goats spend hours just stood up there next to the fence. Sometimes (but not recently thank goodness) savannah has even joined them by flying over the leccy fence.
