Title: Creep for lambs
Post by: MaxiB on May 30, 2021, 09:06:49 pm
How long should I keep feeding creep to my orphan lambs? They are approx 12 weeks old... and love eating it... I have a 1/4 of a bag left... not sure if I need to buy more or leave them to eat grass... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine were on it until this week when they decided to join the main flock  :roflanim:  (they were in a fenced off bit of field getting creep once a day). They are about 14 weeks old and doing just fine on grass now  :)

Depends what you want to do with the lambs eg if you want to slowly grow them for your own breeding or eating then finish the bag and no more , if you want to sell either as prime or breeding then the faster they grow  and so can be sold before the autumn glut then buy more and keep feeding .
