Title: Various pigs for sale in Stirlingshire
Post by: Pebbles on November 10, 2010, 07:37:52 pm
Hi all,

We have Tamworth weaners ready now (9 weeks old) and Oxford Sandy & Black weaners (currently 6 weeks old)  ready in 2-3 weeks. All £60 each.

We also have a registered Tamworth Sow and her hubby for sale. She is in pig and due mid/ late January - she has had two litters while with us and many more with her previous owner. We have used them to build up our own stock. Only £200 for the pair. Happy to hold on to them for another few weeks as we have another Tamworth sow we'd like to mate with the boar.

PM me if interested.

Gillian

'Mr & Mrs Pig' are now sold - thanks to everyone who showed an interest in them. :pig: :pig:

We still have Tamworth weaners (9 weeks available) and as their parents were registered with BPA there shouldn't be a problem registering them if required...I will know for sure when I speak to BPA tomorrow.

We also have our adorable and spotty Oxford Sandy & Blacks - the oldest batch will be being weaned in around two weeks time.

If interested send me a PM.

Speak soon

Hi Gillian,
As the Tamworth breed rep for Scotland I can confirm that all piglets must be birth notified by 10 weeks of age to be eligable for introduction to the bpa herd book. It is the original breeder that has to birth notify and register the litters. That is if the parents have been registered and you have the registration paper work for them in your name. This is a frequently encountered problem, pedigree parents off spring sold on and the new owners automatically assume that the piglets will be pedigree status. Without the paper work they are just ordinary pigs. As your piglets are 9 weeks old at the moment you still have another week to birth notify them and please remember it can be done online only if you are a registered breeder with the bpa. If you are unclear of any of the above please contact me.

regards,
Lillian
