will pigs panic with firework displays around and about, wondering whether to shut them in their sty every night until firework season is over. what do you lot think?..................neil

Sorry Neil, dont know the answer to this question. Here in France fireworks just do not happen.
All I can say is when the big, low flying jets pass over here at great speed the pigs take no notice at all.
Maybe someone else can help with this one, I for one hate fireworks.

The teenagers of our French neighbours have fireworks and fire crackers on Bastille Day/night, and the goats go crazy and run in a stampede, but the pigs take no notice. I would leave the door open for them. If they don't like it they can make the decision to move if they want to.

Well, you are supposed to take care of dogs on Fireworks night, that's fine, my kennel dogs have a radio and I turned it up louder tonight, my inside dogs have me and the telly, but what can you do about flipping long coal trains going past your door! My dogs go doolally when they go by and my neighbour's dog chases them along their garden - they have a track worn on their new grass! ;)
