Does anyone routinely scan their pigs to confirm pregnancy? If so, what type of scanner?

I used to scan them some years ago with a doppler scanner - like midwives use to listen to babys' heartbeat. You just get the noise which confirms pregnancy, but no picture.

When I worked on the pig farm all sows was scanned and it was very simple when  you got the nack , I can't for the life of me remember the make of the scanner was just a hand held one with a screen on and a probe coming off it ,

If you've just got one or 2 pigs you can ask a sheep or cattle scanner to scan them for you and ask them about their machine.
