Title: Sheep
Post by: sabrina on September 06, 2020, 07:17:59 pm
My Hebs should have been away in March but I was put in 12 week lock down so I now have them booked into Dingwall for the 14th of this month. We bought them when they were wether lambs. Now over 2 years old what do I put down on the paper work. Are they still Hoggets ?

That makes them 'two-shear', not 'hogget'. From the point of view of the abattoir, it means the carcass has to be split.  Our place doesn't seem to charge extra for that, but I think some do.
