Title: Is he excessively large?
Post by: egglady on November 01, 2010, 08:03:15 pm
We bought some hubbards as day (ish) olds a while back.  So far have had several and all been meaty and tasty birds.  The cockerel had started to go for our daughter so it was his turn at the weekend..

he weighed in at........after being gutted and plucked.....at.............are you ready?......................a whopping 10.5lbs!!!!

no idea how he's gonna fit in the oven!

think he'll go in the freezer and be our christmas bird - should feed 500 me thinks!
