Hi.
I stopped changing my raddle colour too early perhaps.
I have one ewe who I thought was due on the 12th April. She was big and had started to bag up quite nicely so was put into the orchard which is adjacent to the sheds with electric lights and power so that I could keep close tags and move her if required.
So, 3 weeks later she is like an elephant seal which has swallowed a walrus and walks with splayed legs due to the huge udders. However, she is in no distress and just keeps eating!
For me it has been 4 weeks of late late night and early early morning checking and it is worse than my sons home schooling. No, almost as bad as the home schooling.
As long as she gives a healthy appearance should I just bear with her a bit longer?
Ryeland bye the way.
Thanks.
