Title: Small Holder Magazine
Post by: Fluffywelshsheep on October 21, 2008, 10:43:42 pm
Smallholder! The leading magazine for the small farming community.
Not sure if anyone is interested in this but you can subscribe to it here http://www.smallholder.co.uk/subscribe/
If you can find it in a shop it's a good read too.
(I am yet to find it up here in scotland but am sure some one can point me in the right direction)

I got a subscription to it as a present from me missus. It is good but seems aimed at the South West england crowd with only a few of the articles seeming to be from anywhere else.
Plenty of ideas though. Try WHSmith.

Ross, I'm sure if you offer them an article, they will be happy to take it!

Yes, maybe. But what to write?

I've not got a huge number of things to offer.
Really only the following
How to make reasonably poor cider from the apples on the reduced shelf of the supermarket
How to make really tasty but too sweet elderflower wine
Or
Butchering roadkill venison.

It is a good idea though and I'll keep it in mind.
Maybe one day . . .

Dan and I both thought the feature on roadkill venison was a winner...

Thank you.

What I'll do is take some photos when I'm doing the next one and post it here and see what people think then maybe I'll take the plunge.

Soon hopefully, I'm nearly finished the last lot.
