Title: Hello from North Wales
Post by: cluckingnuts on October 29, 2010, 08:24:08 am
After too long I finally got round to joining this site.
Besides a small number of sheep + goats, I have ducks, geese, guinea fowl, peafowl and not forgetting the several hundred  chickens, mostly meat strains.
Bees and growing fruit/veg also help keep me busy (as do the dogs).

:wave:Hi from Clackmannanshire, very wet this morning.

I'm a newbie too.  In fact this is my first post apart from introducting myself.  Looks like you lead a very busy life, look forward to hearing more about what you do.

Cheers

Hiya!  I'm in north Wales too, whereabouts are you?  We have sheep and a few laying hens.  Trying to grow as much of our own veg as possible, not easy given the terrain, but were getting there!.

Hiya Cluckingnuts, yes I can image its pretty exposed as you're close to the coast.  We are between Corwen and Cerrigydrudion, so quite high, a bit rocky, but not too windswept.  How do you manage with your veggies?

Veggies ! you mean the ones that the sheep + goats ate, tell you next year. Seriously though, I am moving the veg plot which at this moment in time happens to be all gorse + bramble. I'm high up + have shallow soil + get the wind from all sides, keeps me busy!
