Morning
We will be moving over to our new home at the end of the month and over the last 6months or so while we've been getting ready to go we've been making plans about how we'd like to use the land. Now the plans are far from concrete but there are a few ideas which we know we are going to want to incorporate and having done a bit of reading online it should be possible to get grant funding from Glastir. I'm just wondering if any of you based in Wales have any experience of the Glastir schemes and the different levels? It would seem to be a no brainer for some of the items but as they say "there's no such thing as a free lunch" and I'm wondering if there's a catch or pitfalls to be avoided?
Thanks in advance.

We have only applied for GLASTIR small grants ... can be very useful if you want something specific that is on the list. Grant wont cover whole cost . There are strict dates for things which don,t necessarily coincide with weather conditions. We have found these very useful for getting hedges put in the split large fields up. Money is usually very prompt .... except for this year!

The deadline for applications for this year has just passed - 10th May.
At least you have plenty of time to plan for next year - if they are still available.

Thank you both. and thanks for the heads up on the deadline. I had completely forgotten about that as we completed in January but we have been crazy busy sorting things out in our current house to get it on the market.
As you say, plenty of time to get the EOI ready for next year and make sure the plans we deicde on are the best use of the space.
