Title: bring in a little extra
Post by: manian on October 13, 2010, 07:01:18 am
hi
every year i grow far too many seedlings that i can cope with...... a friend and i were thinking of diversifying and selling some at car boot sales/farmers markets etc, along with hanging baskets
does anyone else do this? if so any tips/advice, websites that sell hanging baskets wholesale

need to get organised i think......... ;)

We're also thinking about doing this for the same reason- it's that irresistable urge not to waste one single seed  :) We thought we'd sell them at the road end, along with eggs. Maybe not next year though.

Go ahead, at Thainstone car boot sale on a Sunday there are always a few stalls purely selling plants and fruit and veg.  I'm sure you could make a bit from it, but you have to get to these things early which is why I don't go - I'm a night owl not a bright little starling ;)

You could do some Christmassy baskets -  they'd sell well this time of year provided they aren't filled with perishable items
