I have a 2yr Beltex ×. Due to lamb sometime soon, not sure when but her buddy lambed yesterday..
Behind her head/top of neck, wool seems to be coming away. There are bits around in the field.
Yesterday I thought I saw red or black spots, but today skin is clear apart from what looks like a scratch. Rest of her seems OK,
Could it be crows/birds?
If she needs treating what should I give her without harming her or lambs?
I have some coopers spot on. Would that be OK?
TIA

sometimes the stress of lambing can make them slip their fleece, or maybe the warm weather last week has made her hot and itchy. I wouldn't worry about it, if she looses a lot of fleece then maybe keep her indoors if its cold out.

I have patches of wool where a ewe has been lying al over the farm , jackdaws seem to be one of the worst but seen crows / pigeons and small birds
