Title: Pigs and straw

Another piggy question. I have some year old bales of straw that have been outside. Would they be ok for pig bedding,?

I think it depends on how dusty they are, if their small rectangle bales I imagine they have had a fair bit of rain on them and will be full of spores/dust. Big round bales stored on their sides should be ok, just throw the outer few layers away and should be fine :)
