Hi All,
Can some advise me what livestock you do not need a holding number for and where can I find info on holding numbers, stock traceability issues etc,
Digger ???
-
As far as I know the only stock you don't need a CPH for are chickens.
Your local DEFRA or SEERAD (in Scotland) Office should be able to give you more info.

I think Karen's right- for cattle, pigs, sheep you need one. And I think goats are treated the same as sheep. Not sure about camelids though.

Or Lee (ukag) with her elephants lol! ;) ;D ;D ;D
-
I think, just cloven-hooved animals.
-
may be wrong but think you do if you have more than 50 chickens?? but may be wrong :-\ :-\
-
No not a holding no for more than 50 chickens but you do have to register on a special register. Below 50 its voluntary registration
-
ah right that makes sense ;)
-
Just had visions of chickens with sheep sized ear tags pinned to one wing ;D
-
Thats not a vision it actually happens on some pedigree poultry farms tags that would fit a cow never mind a sheep.

Wow would love to see a photo of that.
