Post by: davaopete on February 10, 2019, 11:22:28 am
hello to all

imstarting a new venture out in the philipines , we have acquired the land and are currently having pens built as I type , the rough plan is to start with 5 sows and grow from there , I have an experienced farm worker to help , so im doing a lot of reading at the moment and will be asking lots of stupid questions , I am still in the UK and plan to be living out there full time by November

regards
Davao Pete

Welcome to the forum Pete.

Good luck in your venture. One thing i would definitely do before you go out is read up on bio-security. We've had talks in the company i work for regarding the African Swine Fever disease sweeping across Asia, Eastern Europe and down into Belgium. It's a scary prospect.

Don't be scared to ask questions on here. There are some fantastically knowledgeable people on here (myself not including)
