I do not know how far down the queue I am as it is a thank you gift from a grateful neighbour. It will be shipped to their American residence and brought back at the end of August :excited: :excited: :excited:

That's really interesting Buttermilk. It does look really lightweight and portable. It's a long wait but I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on with it :spin:

Someone brought an EEW Mark 1 to our spinning group on Saturday and I fell in love. Apparently Mark 2 is quieter but is plastic and I prefer the look of the wooden ones. There is a Facebook group for them if anyone wants to follow it. The project is crowdfunded and the target set was $11668 by 21 December and it's up to $164726 already. Pledges are from $60 or around £47 for one including 3 bobbins. My OH has said he'll get me one for Christmas. :excited:

I'm wondering how the light weight of the plastic will work with drawing. I notice in some of the pics that they can be clipped to the table with a clamp, or sat on a mat

Someone in my guild has a mark one and does not have any trouble but I suspect that pre drafting is the way to go.

There's now talk of a choice of colour because I really did not fancy the purple one. There's a Ravelry group for them as well and the designer/maker of the wheels is on it quite often.
