Post by: Je on November 18, 2018, 06:19:47 am
Yesterday when drenching, saw one of my ewes has a sore mouth blood stained saliva on both sides and one nostril looks red. No scabs as such, is this orf? Small closed herd only 7 but 100 blackies arrived in field across river. What shoud i do please. Ewe has lots of condition. Thank you

If your worried about her take her to your vet, there's probably lots of things it could be but no-one on here can diagnose a problem without seeing her.

It is most likely not orf, but she could have had a fight with another ewes and nose bleed? I would observe her today and if you are still worried (and can catch and transport her) take her to your vet. Cheaper than a call-out.
