one of my girls has had a bare back for several months now. At first I thought it was the boy's attention but he has calmed down (although I don't know what they do in the sleeping quarters) and her back is still bare and red but not bleeding. Will she grow normal feathers after the moult? I hope she will as I feel sorry for her now that it is getting colder! Can I rub anything on to help? :&> :chook:

It's the cock treading her. Feathers take a long time to re-grow. Give them extra protein
