Well -we slapmarked our pigs this afternoon.
We didn't use the big ink pad but cut down a scouring sponge in stuck it in a soap dish and then doused that in ink.
All went well. The pigs were eating their tea and I managed the slapping OK. They barely looked up - flinched slightly but didn't stop eating. I'm felt the pins sinking into the skin though so I think there was enough "force" behind the slap without it being an absolute smash.
Problem is - the numbers came out mirror image so had to re-do some but.......
They're done at least.

Well done. Good luck for the big day; now start looking forward to fantastic bacon, sausage, ham, joints etc. etc.

We took some video footage and hopefully will make it into a little You Tube howto and post a link on here.
Problem is darling husband spent most of the time videoing my bottom and not the pigs' bottoms!!!!
Maybe he wants to slap mark me!!!!
We are planning to do an "after" shot once the pigs get to the butcher to see how it turns out.
