Title: Brewing like mad!
Post by: oldwolf on September 20, 2010, 09:28:57 pm
Had a busy week so far currently still fermenting on the must I have two gallons of mead and two gallons of elderflower (from dried flowers) and after some foraging over the last couple of days two gallons each of bramble and elderberry wine, happy days, well not for a while yet.
I have also got the promise of a couple of stone of Damsons next saturday in return for a couple of bottles when ready. Yesterday I bottled five gallons of cider.
Sound like a right Jake! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Do you make this stuff as gifts or for yourselves? I'd love o have a proper go at this but we don't drink very much and, to be honest, we don't have that many friends to give it to. Maybe if we made it, we'd have more friends, though

:( :( :( :( My bramble and the elderberry have been infected by the fruit fly and have gone to vinegar,  never mind lots of exotic salad dressings. ;D
The mead and the elderflower are ok.  I'll have to 'clean' the next lot with a campden tablet solution. hey ho
