Last year in August my lurcher had 2 puppies. I was contacted today with the sad news that the gentleman that bought one of the dogs had tragically died leaving his wife and a disabled infant. He is a wonderful dog with an excellent temperament and of good blood line,so it would be good to see him go to a loving caring family. If anyone could be of help I would be greatful otherwise he will be going to the RSPCA to be rehomed.

Could you not have him back and re-home him yourself? Then you would know where he is.

We have really thought about this but I have five dogs and a litter of puppies at home all ready and I am also pregnant. My sister in law is thinking of doing this for me but she already has four dogs. I am staying in touch with the mother and I believe she will finds him a good home as she is in no great hurry to get him out. I just feel sad for all concerned as no one wants to see him go but the mother is an elderly lady and the wife of the gentleman that died has a young disabled baby of under a year.
I am sure it will be a happy ending for the dog so I will stay on the look put and keep my fingers crossed.

Did you find a new home?
If not this link might help http://www.greyhoundandlurcherrescue.co.uk/
Apparently the RSPCA put down a lot of animals, so wouldn't use them myself
All the best
