Hello!
My name is Conor, I'm 35 years old and from South Dakota, USA. It's been 4 years since I purchased a 4 acre plot of land next to the house. I grow vegetables about once in a while, and I'm mostly self-sufficient for vegetables when they're in season. I also have 10 chickens and 2 cocks. I was thinking about getting more pigs or sheep. I hope I will find useful information on this forum

Welcome @Conor1
Sorry you didn't get any Helloos sooner, we're usually pretty good at welcoming people but sometimes the forum software doesn't bring up Intro posts into the "New Posts" lists straight away.
What sort of sheep or pigs would it be if you got any? Would you use the wool? :knit: :spin:

Hello and welcoe to TAS. We're in Carnoustie, ten miles or so North of the City of Discovery, Dundee.
Dying to get out in the garden but it's still a bit early for us here.
I think rearing (as opposed to breeding) pigs is a good fit with what you're doing, but obviously depends on lots of things like your land type, access to youngstock, access to abattoir / butchery.
