Now nine days old and very hyper ;D Very active and were coming outside at a week old, til mom told them to SIT and STAY !
Seem very precocious - never seem to sleep. In some lights you can see dark patches emerging in their coats.
Mom must have known they were ready to emerge cos she changed the nest and blocked doorway into a flat playing field ;D

Gorgeous Jane
They look like little short nosed tamworths - do any of them have the piri piri ?
Glad mum and babies are all doing well :bouquet:

what is the piri piri, Karen ?
Yes, they do look like short-nosed tams, but see in this photo, they have darker patches and dark legs ;D
I know my GSP puppies all developed their patches later, so wondered if these will too ?
-
Piri piri are the little tassles that some Kune Kunes have under their chins. ;)
I've found with mine that they don't develop patches later (but that's pure Kune Kune) so don't know if these wee guys and gals will be different ?
Bet you're finding lots of excuses to go and spend time piglet gazing ;) ;D

Unfortunately there's no way I could walk all the way through the pen to the ark, Karen. No, don't think they have the piri piri then ;D (sounds like beri beri !)
Maybe these are just shadows of what might have been, then :-\ I see real kune kunes on another thread are very spotty.
Are they usually much more hyper than other breeds ?
-
I wouldn't say my Kunes are any more hyper than any of the rest of them - they're all pretty well up there in the hyper stakes ;) Mum must be doing a great job feeding them if they've got loads of energy. Wait til they're a fortnight old and doing the wall of death race round the pen - that's funny :D
The Kunes I've had up til now have been patchy, rather than spotty - but the spotty ones are very pretty and I'm hoping our new boar who does have spots will pass that on down the lines - as well as great confirmation and underlines cos that's the really important bit for me ;)

Fourteen days tomorrow, and this evening at feed time, watching on the webcam, I could see just that !! It's very muddy with all this rain, but they were racing around doing rallycross no problem ;D
Boris is more patchy than spotty, so don't know where the small spots came from.
