Title: Freedom to roam
Post by: Beaulyman on April 11, 2022, 11:58:02 pm
I am sure this will be a an old subject, but it is new to me.
Recently I had a visit from Access Scotland about me having to remove some obstacles I have placed to discourage unwanted horse riders passing through my property.
My objection being that they pass through a boundary between me and a neighbour who removed the fence.
I was in the process of reconstructing the fence but had only put a few posts in the ground. However, my good neighbour decided to build a new fence with a gate between us.
My point, that I was trying to convince the Access Scotland official was that there had never before been access between the 2 properties, and that there ought not to be a gate there.
Had I completed my fence there would not have been one.
Does anyone have any similar tales and what did you do?
