I could get really carried away and post so many pics on here, had some amazing marked lambs this year.  Used a Hampshire Down ram for the first time.  Cracking large lambs, (had to assist a few lambings though) all up and running really quickly.  Unfortunately I want to keep at least 4 ewe lambs to follow on and so far have had 11 ram lambs and 1 ewe!!!

Can't beat a Hampshire Down Tup in my humble opinion. Always produce cracking lambs that are quick to get going. I wouldn't change to any other tup now and have tried several breeds. I have only had to assist when a very large single on a first timer, but find that plenty of lube does the trick. I had 11 ram lambs and 3 ewe lambs last year, so hoping for it to be the other way round this year! Mine are due from 16th march. You have certainly had some smashing lambs from your HD tup - hope you get a few more ewe lambs.

I have a new Romney tup arriving in the summer but I seriously considering buying some Hampshire ewes to add to my flock.  I like the Romney X as I get my skins tanned and they have fab fleeces, but I am really impressed with the Hampshire in the mix.
