Today is our first wedding anniversary and the girls gave us our first 2 eggs!
We don't know which ones have started laying, but I think its probably Kebab and Burger. Come on Curry, Pie and Soup - Catch up!!!

Congratulations, it's a great thing your first egg! Is it really all speckledy, or is that just a dodgy photo? What sort of hens have you got?

The egg really is that speckled!
The second egg we found was of a more normal color though.
We have 2 Rangers, 1 Copper Black, 1 Snowbell and 1 Sussex - all of which came from Merrydale Poultry ( www.merrydalepoultry.co.uk ) who I would highly recommend.
It was a good weekend, Got loads planted, bagged a hare and got a suntan!
Slightly odd start to Monday. Woke up with 2 cats on the bed, Tabby and some random black one! Cue massive cat fight in the bedroom, down the stairs, round the dining room table. Not the most relaxing thing at 5:30 am....
