Where were these found? >:( >:( There are some sad and sick people around. I know some people don't like dogs but, surely the thing to do is not keep one and ignore other people's, not do things like this!
What happens if a neighbour's children annoys them!!!!!

I am generally a bit of a bleeding heart liberal, but in this case I would absolutely make the perpetrator eat his or her own dogfood.

Even as a hoax it's sick, a clear case of munchausen syndrome, attention seeker , I hope this does not become reality. they need locking up for the good of their health.

Where on the River cottage did you find it?

I do wonder about the mentality of people who do such things.  I have seen photos of cats with fireworks tied to their tales and then let off, and in a park somewhere, poison was put down for dogs, and one died, and others were really ill ......why would anyone want to cause an animal to suffer?

My sister in law lost her dog to poison put down in a public place popular with dog walkers.  It took her years to get over it and risk having another dog. :(

I had a neighbour once threaten to lace cat food in her garden as my cats kept going in garden and shitting (along with any other animal you share a space with!) - I called the police and nothing was done.

Some people are just plain mad - and nothing can be done about it.

I bet that the story even if it has been flagged as a spam message - is actually true - there are some crazy people about, luckily not many of us have to worry about crazies out to hurt our animals.

My wife decided to get a couple of spaniels a few years ago. I don't love them but they are definitely part of the family. We have to grown up children and it's hard not to think of the dogs as (almost) children as well.

It's not what I expected.

You dont have to admit that you dont love them - as we know you really do secretly :)

Its one the hardest things I have had to do with starting as a smallholder - not getting attached.

I cant even kill a rat as they look too cute - there is something wrong with that I know!?

we tried to hand rear an orphan mouse  ::) one of the mice our cat brought in gave birth in the kids playroom - 6 little pinkies, 5 dead but one very alive. I bottle fed it every few hours with goats milk. I know. daft, totally!!
