Title: Hello from Llandovery
Post by: Llandovery Lass on March 27, 2011, 07:24:34 pm
My husband and I have a smallholding and as yet have chickens geese and more recently lambs. He intends to get some bees soon and I would like some pigs. We also have a polytunnel and veg garden. We have been here for just over a year but both came from Mid Wales originally. Looking forward to joining in with the discussions and hopefully getting some advice.

Hello and welcome from northwest Scotland.

Llandovery? Is there a biker's cafe there? I vaguely remember stopping off there on the way down to friends near Carmarthen.

Hello and welcome from a fellow newbie.

I'm planning on building my first hive too in the next couple of weeks. I might give a 'natural' top bar hive a go.
The price is right and it looks reasonably straight forward.

Just caught up with you after feeding the thirteen lambs, hmm, three not sucking well yet, others jumping and bouncing. Yes the bikers caff is great but so is the fish and chip shop and the indian.

Hello from Caerphilly. If you're going to the Royal Welsh Spring Festival (also known as the Smallholder Show), May 21/22, call into the pig building and say hello. I'll be there with some of the herd. Good luck with your holding.
