Post by: LisaBellamy on August 27, 2015, 02:55:53 pm
Hi does anyone know of a reliable supplier of Cayuge ducks in Northumberland or the North East/North Yorkshire? All the ads Ive seen tend to be much further south or in Wales Thanks  :&>

I breed Cayugas (nowhere near you) and am a member of the British Waterfowl Association who have just asked all breeders to contact them so they can get an up-to-date breed list. So maybe give them a call and see whether they've got anybody close to you. I've got a breeder list somewhere but can't think what I've done with it and it's probably not as comprehensive as calling them. Or drive! I've done overnight trips for birds I wanted....

We have some young ducks and are in the Lake District. We find it much harder to find stock springtime as people have kept over winter generally the stock they want to breed from.
