I keep discovering trees and plants on the property, including this little guy. Anyone know what it is?

I'm no expert but they look like apples to me with those leaves.

Certainly the skin looks like apple. I was just surprised at them pointing upwards like that. And apple leaves I thought had a curl to them. Time will tell suppose

Cut one in half across the "equator" and check for the star shaped bit that holds the pips?
As opposed to something like a cherry or plum that will have a stone.

Have you tried smelling it?
How about quince ? Not sure how it grows but looks a bit like an apple?

I'm going with quince, but not placing my bet on the nose.

I can hardly wait to see what it turns out to be! Who knew unripe fruit could be so tantalising!  :roflanim:

I think it might be a fig of some sort.

Is the bark nearly black (quince) or silvery brown(apple)?
Definitely not fig.

That's sorted then; looks like it's black and silver, so we're all right!
