Hey everyone.

Are two female ducks enough for one drake? I have heard that a bigger harem is preferred but that isn't a possibility for me

Ducks are normally sold in pairs. Chickens in trio's. Drakes can be relentless in their advances though hence why people often run more ducks with one drake. Keep an eye.

Two females are enough as long as they have enough space to get away from the Drake. Otherwise they will stress them too much.
Muscovy drakes are very strong and heavy birds. My big drake literally RAPES smaller drakes! He's really bad at this time of year!

I'd get more if their Muscovies if your set on that breed. I've kept them in the past and found them very rough with the ducks. The drake wouldn't leave a duck alone and when indoors one night cut all her back and caused some nerve damage and we had to cull her. Shortly followed by him. I don't know if its becuase their feet are designed for roosting and their sharp, but the other ducks have never had the same issue
