So surely the answer is to move them now using your original CPH number, and then do a 'fake' movement in 50 days time, to allocate them to the new number?

I  do things strictly by the book on movements - not least because the inspection I had earlier this year involved getting all the sheep I own in the shed at the same time, a drains-up on the paperwork, all tags checked, etc.

I wasn't suggesting you cheat or break any rules MF, just that you move the stock on now using your existing number (as farmershort says). Then, when the new number is issued, you can submit a movement form to move the animals between your number and the new number.

I can't think of a better way to do things by the book - can you?

P.S. What's a drains-up?  ???
