Hello from Manchester
« on: October 24, 2016, 03:11:41 pm »
Hi
Me and my hubby have a 3.5 acre farm.  It used to be a huge dairy farm many many years ago before our time.    We still have all the original outbuildings though and keep sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys.  We are hoping to be able to eat our own produce and sell a little and would love any advice on how to make bacon, I.e, where to get this done?  If anyone could direct me to any information I would be very grateful.
Thank you
Angela  :pig:

Hello and welcome from Devon. Whoever butchers your pigs may be able to do your bacon, but it's easy enough to do it yourself!

Hello :)

We're not far up the road past Bolton. Hopefully getting a place with some land imminently to do the same.

Brilliant.  If you have never done it before it will be the best thing you ever do.
Good luck.
