anyone have a cheap one?  Ebay have ones around £110 from Ukraine.  Acceptable for the money? DEf not paying £800.

Yes, you may need to change the plug on it though, unless they now dleiver with British standard plug. Works well, a lot of faff when washing up though. Works best with batches of up to 10 ltrs of milk (our is goats milk, so no idea if cows is the same), then needs washing up as otherwise clogs up with butter...

Not stainless steel, so not suitable for anything other than private use.

i've used one of the ukraine ones, i burnt it out trying to push 20 litres through it in one sitting though, maybe i was trying for too much cream extraction

where does it say that?
not that i was planning on it but we're looking to get a miling cow and maybe make something to sell with the excess

Greenbeast it usually means it doesnt have the power and the strength to do commercially.  OK for the odd batch but not on for hours on end and wont have the capacity to do amounts.  For small batches it will be fine

ah i get you, yes the one i had burnt out so that would be true.

I just wondered about whether the regs stated stainless steel as a requirement
