Hi everyone

I've posted for a few weeks on the forum, but didn't see the introduce yourself until now.  So hello :)

I'm Tracy from the North East of England, County Durham, specifically near Newton Aycliffe if anyone is local to me?  We bought a smallholding in January of this year and LOVE it.  I can't get enough of it.  There's me, my husband, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 3 lambs, 5 geese, 5 ducks, loads of hens and a few cockerels, 4 horses...I think that's it.  We have amazing neighbours who have a few animals too and are lovely.  We both have to work full time to pay for the mortgage on the smallholding but that's ok.  Life is a balance right, you can't have what you want without putting in the hard work.
We have a veg plot which we did very well on this first year and hope to move towards a self sufficient lifestyle as soon as humanly possible.  Well as self sufficient as possible, we won't be off grid.  Though I would like to try that for a year in my life before I croak it!

Life doesn't get much better.

Lovely to have found this site.  Nice to meet you all :)
