Hi! Prompted by my super keen 7 year old, we have just got 2 Ryeland gimmers (shearlings!)! We know a little bit about sheep but this is a new undertaking for me and my son and we are looking to raise them as chemical free and naturally as possible (without jeopardizing their health of course).

Hi there fellow Ryeland owner. I starting keeping them two and a half years ago as a complete novice. Had my first lambs this year. Wow that was nearly as much a shock as having my own babies

Love them to bits and so do the rest of the village! Trouble is they were supposed to be for the freezer!! Whoops a daisy! Never had a problem with sending the pigs off but these are just soooo lovely. Better toughen up though, not enough grazing for all of them.
