Wanted - mature British Saddleback sow
« on: September 18, 2016, 08:03:18 pm »
A year ago we were bequeathed with a handsome senior Saddleback boar.  He came with a lady friend - a cross bred sow who was big and strong enough to take his affections.  They had a successful litter together this spring. Due to his interesting bloodline (Dominator) we were interested to use him for some pedigree breeding so earlier this year we brought in two young gilts.

It is becoming obvious that the boar is going to be too big and heavy for their first matings so a plan has been suggested to us...

We would like to find a mature (big!) sow who could cope with the boar.  From her litter we could bring on a young boar who would keep the bloodline going and be suitable for younger mates.

So if you know of a mature Saddleback sow looking for a new home we would love to hear.

We are in mid Wales.

Many thanks

How far do you want to travel? We are downsizing our herd and have two Mary line sows here that we are looking to rehome. They were bred by Stephen Booth in Cheshire and have produced several good litters for us. DM for more details if you're interested. Located Anglesey, North Wales.
