Rapid clean poultry drinker

Just got one of these today, but for the life of me I cannot get the water to stop flowing once the trough has filled.
It appears to have all the bits there, including the blue valve that sits over the spout in the reservoir .
Is there a trick to getting them to work properly ?.

I can't get photos to load, but here's a link to it http://www.kerbl.com/catalog/ShowArtikel.aspx?siteID=2&siteTyp=1&SKCatalogID=555068&SKLanguageID=2&SKTreeParentID=555114&SKTreeID=555118&SKProductID=2544371#
Finally got it working, there's a big plastic float inside that had gotten water in it so wasn't floating and shutting off the water.
That'll teach me to go for over complicated designs lol.
On the plus side, it should cut down on algae growth and the hens really seem to prefer it over the big ceramic bowl I was using.
