My family have a tiny small holding where we keep ducks and chickens, we are planning on getting a couple of pigs soon.

Found this site when googling for information.

Hello HeidiT....
You've been really unlucky to have no replies - it's a very random but unusual event!! Don't take it personally - you are so very very welcome
We had our first pigs about three years ago - and have never looked back (very hard to eat pork from anywhere else once you've had your own...)...
Chickens are a joy - as you already know.
Ducks....  I don't know about!
Enjoy the forum - and good luck with the pigs!

Hello HeidiT. I hadn't seen your post before, for some reason.  Yes, you are very welcome!

What sort of pigs have you decided on?

Hi HeidiT and welcome to the forum for Ceredigion! It seems this post slipped through our fingers, sorry for not responding sooner. This forum is a great place for learning and hopefully soon you will be the one to teach us a thing or two. All the best with it all and do let us know how you get on and please feel free to ask anything you would like to know, we're a very friendly community here :D

Hello :)
We have a rescue micro pig arriving soon, so not quite the kunekunes we anticipated, but small, and no doubt he will need a friend, which we will be on the lookout for!
Thanks for the lovely welcome.

Welcome to the site. I have chickens and ducks as well, although have recently got a bit carried away with the incubator and have 29 baby chicks to distract me at the moment.

Sooo much information on here, looking forward to hearing more about your smallholding

Hello Heidi,

Your micro-pig will definitely need a friend. Pigs don't thrive on their own. Although they like human company it's not quite the same, apparently. How much space have you got for them?
