Still sorting through my bookshelf and I have two copies of this fascinating 505-page tome. It's an eye-opener as pig production then was without the veterinary medicines and bagged feed we take for granted but a great deal of research was being done and highly sophisticated production systems were in place. Much of the pig husbandry was based on vast experience and careful observation and so as relevant now as it was then.
