Anybody sold a smallholding in North Wales?
« on: June 20, 2016, 08:19:31 pm »
Hi

I am looking to sell my approx: 10 acre smallholding in the upland mountains of North Wales (not Snowdonia) and wondered if anybody might recommend an agency to use? It is remote and quiet so not sure if this might be a pull for residential agencies, or to use something bigger like Rural Scene?

If you found your place online, where did you find it and what made you look there? Thanks in advance!

We are in South West Wales. We looked at every agent going when we bought. Rural Scene was a favourite although we didn't buy through them in the end

Hi. We just used rightmove. Looked daily at property that was in the right area, had  flat usable land, preferably mains water and did not need too much work. Hey, we got a mains water supply  ;)

We found our new property on Rural Scene 9 years ago, and also used them as joint agents to sell our old property, although I think our buyers came through the other agent.

Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

We bought through rural scene but I was very thorough in my searches.

I used right move,  prime location, zoopla,  UK Land and farms, smallholding centre" and a number of local agents in specific regions I was interested in. Good luck!
