New Drum carder!
« on: May 16, 2016, 01:15:39 pm »
Well, that's it really - not new, but just acquired a 2nd hand Louet drum carder and looking forward to getting cracking with it. The sacks of fleeces in the shed were starting to get me down, especially with another 7 on the way from the sheep (if I ever find  shearer in  South Northants  :-[!) and making rolags takes me forever. OH practically forgmarched me off to go and get it!  :spin: :knit:
Where are we going - and why am I in this handcart?

Great stuff.  Happy batting!  :D
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

It'll make so much difference to you. Now all you need is time to spin all the batts you are going to produce.

Know the feeling, have fun trying to work through the stack.

If only there were more hours in the year and more energy to use them. ;D

I'd like a 48 hour day and I might just get through all I want to do.

I know what you mean MGoM - I spend a lot of Sunday afternoons thinking "but I haven't got time to go to work - it's soooo unreasonable!"   >:(
